Pat's Knitting and Quilting
November 13, 2006 We went to Portland, Maine this weekend and on the way I did some true Knitting on the Road and finished my Traveler's Stockings which was the pattern for the October/November Knitting on the Road Along.
These are just beautiful socks though you can't see that so well in the photos. I couldn't wait until a sunny day like I should have (it is pouring here) and the flash seems to bounce off the slight sheen from the silk which makes the pattern all but disappear. In real life the pattern shows up wonderfully even thought the yarn is darkish as you can see in this progress picture. I love the KnitPicks "Gloss"- it is oh so soft and cushiony. The ONLY problem I had with it was it tended to split a bit with the traveling stitches so I had to be sure I didn't leave any tiny bits behind.
