Sucked In by a Sock

STR Monsoon foot

STR Monsoon foot

STR monsoon heel
Everything else has stopped and I am obsessed. My STR Monsoon "Inside Out" socks are taking up almost all my knitting time. They are different (in so many ways) than any socks I have ever knit....which makes it a little bit of a challenge and FUN! One part of the pleasure of knitting with handpainted yarn is the surprise of design....how it knits up - I like this striping.
I have finished the heel (which is worked EXACTLY the same as the toe) and am just starting the leg. The consensus is that the leg needs to be worked on bigger needles because the cables pull it in big time....but I'm hesitant to go up in size too much. My current plan is to continue in 2mm (US 0) for a pattern repeat or so and then reevaluate and go up to 2.25mm if needed. I hope I'm not messing up because I'm knitting them 2 at a time - so if I have to frog, I'll be frogging both socks.

These should be done soon and I'll be back to my regularly scheduled knitting....
