Fair Game

I can't imagine that anyone has as much fun picking out which pair of socks to put on in the morning as we sock knitters do!

Pattern: Fair Game (August SOTM) beautifully designed by Robyn Gallimore of Red Bird Knits
Yarn: 1 skein Lana Grossa Meilenweit Bosco #3516(background); 1 skein Lana Grossa Missoni Stile #8002 (foreground)- used only 1/2 skein (50 gm) of each so I could make another whole pair from these 2 balls :-)
Needles: 2 socks together (yes there was a bit of tangling) on 1 2.25mm 40" circular needle.

There are 5 beautiful colorwork patterns in this sock. The motifs are Egyptian and Anatolian (the back of the leg, which is my favorite, is called "Sheep's Eye). The faux Fair Isle is created with 1 variegated and 1 almost solid yarn - extra bonus...almost no ends to weave in - I love these socks!

This opens up a space for another colorwork project....I have cast on the All-Over Two-Color Patterned Watch Cap from Hat's On by Charlene Schurch (my 4th hat from this GREAT hat book!) I have 5" of 1X1 ribbing to go before it starts getting picture worthy!
