Swirls Hat

I'm going to make more of these! A beautiful hat pattern with so many color possibilities... I love the braids - love the swirls - a fun hat to knit and to wear!

Pattern: Swirls Hat by Carolyn Doe for Fibertrends
Yarn: Knitpicks Wool of the Andes 42 gms Black Cherry Heather and 27 gms Camel Heather, Elann Peruvian Highland Wool 12 gms Forest Glade Heather.
Needles: 16" circular sizes US 5 and 6
Size: 120 stitches around

Just when I was going to take a break from socks....my October Red Bird Knits SOM kit arrived. How could I wait to start this one?? Robyn has outdone herself with this gorgeous new pattern called Latvian Dances. My kit has beautiful gentle contrast with Ariquipa Paint and Solid ( 65% Superwash wool, 20% Alpaca and 15% Nylon). I am in the Sock a Quarter club, so have until January to finish these - don't think it will be a problem, since I am drawn to work on them anytime I have even a few minutes of "full attention" knitting time.

I also have my 5 mitten books pulled out - My plan is to knit 1 pair of mittens from each book this winter - should make a nice variety of mittens! (but I will WAIT to start any of them until a few projects are finished!)
