Pat's Knitting and Quilting
September 20, 2008 Perfect timing! It's 50 degrees this morning- beautiful fall sweater weather. Almost one year after I started it, Tangled Yoke is done! I knew I wanted to make this cardigan as soon as I saw it in last fall's IK. I had a gorgeous (discontinued) reddish Rowan Felted Tweed already in my stash waiting for the perfect sweater. Please forgive the self timer pictures....
Here is a close up of the tangled back... Pattern: Tangled Yoke by Eunny Jang from Interweave Knits Fall 2007 Superb well written pattern - simple to knit. When it comes off the needles the only finishing is grafting the underarms, making button bands, and sewing on 9 tiny buttons. I'll be wearing this all fall.... My very reluctant photographer took a few outside pictures - only one of which was usable... When I saw that Nancy Bush's Estonian Lace Book was coming out in October, I knew I had to pull out Irtfa'a and get moving on it. (again - unbreakable rule about only having one big lace project on the needles). I won't be finishing anytime soon, so I'll have plenty of time to dream of Estonian Lace. Luckily this time, I left myself some good notes about where I stopped last January~ Next blog post should be a finished quilt - I'm binding it now...
