Pat's Knitting and Quilting
April 3, 2009 In the spirit of spring.... a simple and fun batik lap quilt. Pattern: Salt-Water Taffy by Amy Walsh It is just one repeated block with spacers on the right and left sides - no need to match up any seams - just fun color play! The back looks like the ocean I got my Cookie A book and have already started my 1st sock - Vilai (such a pretty pattern!!) in Lilac Lorna's Laces. See the cute little "cookie" project bag? It fits 2 yarn cakes, the socks, the chart - everything in one place so I can grab it and go. My talented friend Linda made this for me and I love it! She is on a roll and has made even more of these fun project bags, and as of yesterday was setting up an Etsy Shop to sell them (along with pretty stitch markers). So if you want your own cookie bag.... They look complicated, but the chart is simple enough that I was able to work on them after a glass of wine last night with no problems at all! (at least none that I've discovered yet)
