It's Socktober :-)
As if I need an excuse to knit more socks!

Pattern: Southwestern Socks (link to pdf file) by Wendy D. Johnson
Yarn: 82 grams Posh Emily (80% Lambswool, 10% Cashmere, 10% Angora) in Arcadia Colorway
Needles: 2 socks on 1 40" 2.75 mm needle
I can safely say, these are the softest cushiest socks I have ever made! If you want a quick pair of pretty socks, this is the perfect pattern - a simple 8 row lace repeat with sport weight yarn knit toe up on 52 stitches - these are now my constantly worn house socks - my feet are in heaven!
I have a few more pairs going too - Doubt I'll get them all done during Socktoberfest, but I'm having fun celebrating the season!

A pair for Dave - He even picked out the yarn (DIC Smooshy in Night Watch) - Classic Socks
by Kristin Spurkland from The Knitting Man(ual). Plain enough for his taste and just enough of a pattern to keep my interest going - a fun quick little 4 row repeat.

My morning coffee knit - Snowy Woods by Robyn Gallimore in Lorna's Laces Tahoe and Cream. I'm knitting these for the Red Bird Knits Fall KAL and loving every minute of it!

This is clue 1 of Through the Loops Mystery Sock '09
. I'm so happy that Kirsten has decided to play again! The clues come out each Thursday in October - I really like this cuff!
I promise next post won't be socks - I have a baby quilt and some mittens to show you.
