Pat's Knitting and Quilting
November 22, 2010 I'm enjoying completing quilts that I started the last time I got in a quilting frenzy - so next up is the quilt I started HERE in July of 2009. I just fell in love with the tent panel and the fun little tied back door. Pattern: Gone Camping by Nancy Smith and Lynda Milligan from November 2008 Issue of American Quilter Magazine I prewash fabric, but don't prewash batting, so after a trip through the washer and dryer, the quilt gets wonderfully crinkly and puckery and the flannel backing becomes soft as can be, as you can see in the next photos.
Also in the kid quilt arena....sewing the binding on my Very Hungry Caterpillar... I'm a total sucker for a mystery quilt even though it hasn't always worked out in the past - here are my pink/green strips for Clue 1 of Bonnie Hunter's Roll Roll Cotton Boll. Using up lots of old scraps for this one! and some of the many bali strips for another quilt...
